原文 to which 的 to 也可移到句尾，但這麼做就不太符合這段文字文謅謅的風格。

原文從 to which 開始的關係子句是限定意義，the one 是先行詞，後面需有限定修飾，
說明是什麼樣的 the one，這可不是成語用法的 the one，因此後面不能隨意加入逗號
或分號，喪失了限定修飾，變成補充用法。這樣理解，文法上語義上都錯了。
如果根據這個「補充」的邏輯，把先行詞看作是前面整句敘述，用 this 指代，句意豈
不變成這樣：
「在所有偉大發明中，鐵路很可能就是『the one』」的這一看法，獲得史家賦予很大的
影響力。
很怪異的意思。當然，一個看法、觀點可以有影響力，但可惜這不是原文的意思。
（以下將 the most dramatic and far-reaching 簡化成 great。）原文還原後
是 Historians have allowed great influence to the railroad. （史家賦予
鐵路很大的影響力。） allow 是雙及物動詞，influence 是直接受詞，間接受詞
railroad 前使用介詞 to。如要去掉介詞 to，那麼間接受詞寫在先： allow [the
raiload] [great influence]。
這 allow 的用法稍微文了一點，代成 accord/grant/assign/allot 就容易理解多了，
其實基本意思就是 give，同樣是雙及物。網上找到這一句話，剛好也扯到「影響力」：
History of France, tr. by G.H. Smith - Jules Michelet - 1845
The descendant of bishop Arnulf, and kinsman of so many bishops and saints,
allowed great influence to the prelates.
也有間接受詞在先的：
A Spirit in Prison - Robert Smythe Hichens - 1908
Hermione had allowed him great privileges, had allowed him to protect her,
had taken his advice.
看來，有可能是托福書編者將原始原文的 accord 改成看似較簡單的單字 allow，卻造
成始料未及的難點。
