Have you chosen a name FOR the baby that's coming? What is the code name FOR our next software system? What is the name going to be FOR our social movement? How about Occupy Wall Street? 其次，to know someone 和 to make acquaintance with someone / to be acquainted with someone 其實有不同的涵義，雖然字典可能告訴你這些詞都同義。想 know 一個人，涵義是你因為欣賞、喜歡，想和他認識、了解、做好朋友，甚至交往。 make acquaintance with 一個人，則只有單純「認識」的意思，在某場合有人介紹你認識某人，被介紹認識後，有了一面之緣，你已經算是 made acquaintance with 這個人了，但關係可能僅止於此。I want to know her 和 I want to make acquaintance with her 顯然有相當不同的涵義，需要視意圖選擇一個說法，而非後者是前者的較佳表達法。 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 76.198.133.1
