Here, the problem is that this sentence is badly written.
The usual way of writing it in the literary way, would be
What is the name of the girl whom you wanted to know?
Tidbits on who/whom:
The reason behind using "whom" as opposed to "who" is based
on whether it belongs to the subject or the object.
In case of doubt, try to answer the question, if you used
"he/she", then the word to use is "who", if you used the
word "him/her", then the word to use is "whom".
The answer to the aforementioned question is naturally,
Her name is Angel.
Thus the objective case, "whom".
