Primary cardiac neoplasm的autopsy incidence約為 1～30 / 100000。
其中約3/4是benign的，約半數是myxoma
myxoma 是最常見的primary cardiac neoplasm。
另外還有 lipoma, rhabdomyoma, teratoma, fibroma等
最常見的 primary malignant cardiac tumor 是 angiosarcoma。
約佔primary malignant cardiac tumor的2/3。
另外還有 fibrosarcoma, rhabdomyosarcoma, liposarcoma等
多發生在小孩身上
Malignant tumor metastasize到心臟的機率約8%。
最常見meta到心臟的，是lung tumor 跟 breast tumor。
meta到心臟的機率，malignant melanoma可能是最高的。
總體來說，Malignant tumor 的 heart metastasis 在醫學上比較有重要性
Primary cardiac neoplasm...
一年可能只會看到一兩例，還不見得認得出來，是發case report的好材料...

首先，字根是-oma。
Origin of myxoma is still uncertain.
有人說是neural origin，也有人說是endocardial origin...說法也不只這2種。
lipoma, fibroma, rhabdomyoma, melanoma大概可以望文生義
來自lipid, fiber, rhabdo-muscle, melanocyte。
teratoma...origin也有不只一種假說。

Primary cardiac neoplasm有很多種，請問的specific一點。
以Myxoma來說，據說可能有5%的患者是家族性的。
