Mutual Defense Treaty between the United States of America and the
Republic of China
開宗明義在說明
Desiring to declare publicly and formally their sense of unity and their
common determination to defend themselves against external armed attack,
so that no potential aggressor could be under the illusion that either
of them stands alone in the West Pacific Area, and
Desiring further to strengthen their present efforts for collective defense
for the preservation of peace and security pending the development of a
more comprehensive system of regional security in the West Pacific Area,
中美協防條約是區域性防衛條約，這這個區域是指西太平洋！
你刻意去斷章取義，胡扯瞎搞的條文如下！
ARTICLE VI
For the purposes of Articles II and V, the terms "territorial" and
"territories" shall mean in respect of the Republic of China, Taiwan and
the Pescadores; and in respect of the United States of America,
the island territories in the West Pacific under its jurisdiction.
The provisions of Articles II and V will be applicable to such other
territories as may be determined by mutual agreement.
這條是在界定兩國在"西太洋地區"的範圍！
照你的神奇概念，這時老美列出
United States of America, the island territories in the West Pacific under
its jurisdiction.
難道老美在這西太平洋的島嶼主權也有問題，還是說根據此條約，老美在西太平洋以外
地區就沒有主權！
加油好嗎！
更重要的是，1954年簽訂的中美防禦條約並不是用來"定義"臺灣主權，是中華民國在臺灣
統治的實質效力與有效運作的一個條約。
拿中美防禦條約說臺灣主權末定論根本是打自己臉！
看了原PO的神譯，我彷彿聽到好幾個英文老師在哭泣！
