Amtrak is launching new nonstop Acela service between Washington, D.C. and New York, part of a broader effort to expand offerings on one of its most profitable rail corridors. 美鐵將開行新的直達車服務往返於華府與紐約間 也是為了擴張服務版圖在這賺錢的東北走廊 Acela Nonstop will include one northbound and one southbound train per day on weekdays only. The southbound train will leave New York’s Pennsylvania station at 6:35 a.m. and arrive at Washington, D.C.'s Union Station around 9:10 a.m. The northbound train will leave Union Station at 4:30 p.m. and arrive in New York around 7:05 p.m. Acela直達車將會開行在平日北上南下各一班次 下行列車紐約賓州車站06:35開 09:10到華盛頓中央車站 上行列車華盛頓中央車站16:30開 19:05到紐約賓州車站 “This new service will offer an ideal solution for travelers who want to save time and travel between city center D.C. and New York,” said Richard Anderson, Amtrak’s president and chief executive. 美鐵總裁兼CEO 李察安德森 說 “新的服務可以提供新的方式給那些想省時間與旅行兩地的旅客“ Even so, those with dreams of a super-fast, bullet-train-type ride will need to adjust their expectations. Fares for Acela Nonstop will be the same as for the regular Acela service. 而目前車票也開始預售 價格與一般Acela班次是一樣的 Amtrak has continued to make improvements along the busy Northeast Corridor, where ridership keeps growing. In May, the company launched additional Saturday service. 常誤點 主因長程及區域路線匯入 以及沿線施工 另外就是許多鐵路橋是可升降的 常常故障

美鐵自己Pennsylvania都自己簡稱為Penn了 對外的中文翻譯亦稱為賓州車站了

但是線路標準還是無法跑高鐵啊
