呵呵, 我猜想你可能會這樣解, 不過被版友搶頭香捷足先登了, 基本上gmat是允許主被
動的平衡, 甚至是主被動分詞平衡, 大家常常認為主被動不能平衡可能是microsoft微軟
用太多, 在word系統下, 主被動平衡是不好的, 但是gmat卻是允許, 再加碼個兩句：
OG12-42. Scientists have recently discovered what could be the
largest and oldest living organism on Earth, a giant fungus that
is an interwoven filigree of mushrooms and rootlike tentacles
spawned by a single fertilized spore some 10,000 years ago and
extending for more than 30 acres in the soil of a Michigan forest.
以上spawned被動分詞和主動分詞extending平衡
OG12-36. Dressed as a man and using the name Robert Shurtleff,
Deborah Sampson, the first woman to draw a soldier's pension,
joined the Continental Army in 1782 at the age of 22, was injured
three times, and was discharged in 1783 because she had become too
ill to serve.
以上主動動詞joined和被動動詞was injured及was discharged平衡
: 再加上細讀之後發現overcome跟falling之間只有並列連接(關係最薄弱)：
: 「受到汙染的且墜落的鳥...」
這樣變成要解比較艱澀的平衡概念上要對等, 比較難有明確標準
: birds overcome by pollution routinely fell from the sky above Los Angeles
: freeways
: 「受到汙染的鳥從天空上墜落」因果關係較前句好
: 另外，were prompting無必要使用進行式。
這點尚可同意, 因為用“改成進行式”這招來排除的確有一定的命中率, 但還是得
小心一些狀況：
GWD-30-Q1
The artist Renoir’s last word was “flowers,” spoken as they
arranged a bouquet of roses just picked from his garden in a vase
on his bedroom windowsill.
A. as they arranged a bouquet of roses just picked from his
garden
B. as a bouquet of roses had been just picked from his garden
and was being arranged
C. as a bouquet of roses just picked from his garden was being
arranged
答案C是從A選項的簡單式改成進行式was being arranged
所以現在出題者瞭解全球考生都會用一些技巧來刪題, 慢慢會出一些陷阱題,
通常如果可以解100%命中率的點, 會先解這個所謂的correctness的問題, 因為
在句尾ving結構喜歡考的相對錯誤選項就是考“邏輯表達”問題, 也就是動作的
邏輯主語是一般性名詞（birds）,還是含動作的事件(birds falling from the sky）
