[閒聊] 固體中的電子是否密度很低??
想請問各位
一般固態系統中的電子分布函數是否密度很低? 所以才能用電子氣體作為近似?
如果要處理像比較高密度的電子氣體或是甚至液態電子系統
是否密度泛函理論(DFT)中的交換關聯項就沒辦法使用了呢??
我的印象是密度泛函理論好像只能適用於低密度電子氣體的系統
一但電子的密度變很高
DFT是否就沒辦法處理了呢??
有看過有人把DFT 用在處理液態電子系統的嗎??

感謝pipi大的分享討論 有很多有用的資訊
其實我一直覺的exchange-correlation 是 DFT 最精華的部分
但是一般人都只是拿來用 而沒好好去理解他
我之前修液態理論的時候
其實有大半篇幅是在求correlation function的
不曉得DFT的exchange-correlation有沒有可能某些背景是從液態理論來的呢?
因為我之前修凝態物理
教授教完Born oppenheinmer, hartree-fock,pseudopotential, 之後
是直接跳到液態理論而非應用在固態
所以我才會聯想說
DFT 的exchange-correlation 是否是
比求液態理論的correlation function 相對上簡單的理論
當然這點
只是我個人臆測
