不太建議用自己造的句子來討論gmat問題, 因為任何未經過gmat出題者認證的句子
都是沒意義的

: 如果誤選成是their grip on Algeria "would be" always insecure.
: 那可就錯大囉。

這些在我的講義裡面也有, 但是, 畢竟這些都是一般普通英文的文法, 不過我想提醒一下

Conditional constructions require specific verb
tenses. For a past condition, the subordinate
clause introduced by if uses the past indicative,
and the main clause uses the conditional if x
happened, then y would happen.
: 不只要有would(could)，還要是would(could) have + Vpp.
