※ 引述《Qkatherine (喵)》之銘言: : That sacred Closet when you sweep– : Entitled “Memory” – : Selected a reverential Broom– : And do it silently. : 'twill be a Labor of surprise— : Besides Identity : Of other Interlocutors : A probability : August the Dust of that Domain– : Unchallenged—let it lie— : You cannot supersede itself : But it can silence you : 這首詩的前面兩段我大概看的懂 : 意思應該是說在面對回憶時 應該抱持著虔誠虔敬的心 : 沉浸在回憶時 將會是充滿驚喜 : 但是從 : Besides Identity : Of other Interlocutors : A probability : 這三句我不太了解 : 還有最後一段的前兩句 : 是 : "在回憶裡的塵埃是尊貴的不成問題的 就讓他放在那吧" : 這樣對嗎? : 那最後一句 : but it can silence you : 這句又該怎麼解釋呢?? My reading: "Besides Identity / Of other interlocutors" suggests the additional gain one happens to acquire when opening the vault of memories. Those who have come into one's life but, owing to the fluctation and chacne of life are left unrem- embered will be recalled. The action of recalling will be acted through the coversation one had with these peoples. That is, one can identify, or recall, the identities of some others by means of recollecting what was once said. Yet the last sentence in the second stanza--"A probability"--ironically puts into doubt the certainty of the preceding narration or argument as is proposed by the lyric speaker. The reason why the act of recalling and "rememorying" fails and hence becomes only "a probability" consists in the fact that some p art of one's memories are just repressed and can in no way be recalled. In this regard, these memories come to resemble the "Dust of that Domain," which cannot be cleaned off, no matter by what kind of "reverential Bloom." This re- sistance to recollection makes these memories look august and unchallenged. And hence one cannot "supersede itself," can have no command of these lost memories. Instead, only the lost memoreis "silence you" since they cannot be articulated or called back. Nevertheless, something quite interesting, concerning the willingness of the forgetting, of the inability of recollection lies in the phrase "let it lie." The imperative puts into question who does nothing with respect to the lost memories or life experiences. I am of the opinion that perhaps something in the past is too traumatic and thus the lyric speaker suggests that one just "let it lie" and not breaking the gate of repression. This reading invokes the other meaning of the verb "to lie," to make a false statement. That is to say, perhaps the lyric speaker still bears some traces of the past memories; yet (s)he chooses to have it fade away or locked in the room of memories and thus to some degress the lyric speaker lies to him-/herself as regards his/her own emotional reponses and attitude toward the past and memories. This way, the "let it lie" has the double-entendres: to let the mind/broom lie, to make it malfunction, or not to function at all. My own reaidng, just for references. Good luck~ thus inrecallible. -- 縱然陽光可以帶給人們希望 但也要心中充滿希望 才看得到陽光!! -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.122.239.21 ※ 編輯: julians 來自: 140.122.239.21 (02/20 01:14)
