QB 11. Matt Linart: 2004 Heisman Trophy Winner. He played last year with
elbow injury. He have elbow surgey this spring and he
has more power and zip on his throw
RB 5. Reggie Bush: 2004 Heisman Trophy Finalist. He is the most versatile
player in the college. He can be equally dangerous as a
pass catcher out of the backfield or lined up wide as a
receiver, look for the Trojan offense this year to be
very proactive in gaining mismatches by using Bush in a
wide variety of motions and shifts prior to the snap.
Reggie combines speed, shifty moves and vision to leave
many a defender grasping for air after trying to make a
tackle. It's a testment to his ability that Reggie once
overshowed a 2005 #1 NFL draft pick ( his Helix HS QB
was Alex Smith).He can run, recieve and return. He is
even the third punter on the team.
RB 21. LenDale White: As good as Bush has been, it is White who has been the
Trojan leading rusher and resident battering ram over
the past two season and there is no reason to think
that will change this way. Lendale has the natural
instinct that you love to see in a running back where
he is always moving forward and that's an effective
trait to have for a suprisingly athletic 235 pound man.
LenDale is a bruising runner who rarely goes down on
the first contact.
WR 2. Steve Smith: Smith is a natural athlete who catches everything and is
fluid in all that he does on the field.
WR 8. Dwayne Jarrett: Dwayne (6'5", 200), another in a line of tall Trojan
receivers,uses his frame well and has great ability to
get into the end zone.
OT 74. Winston Justice: After missing last season Winston Justice came to
camp in the spring in great shape (He's 6'7", runs
the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds and has a 39-inch
vertical leap) and set himself up for possible
All-American honor this season. If he can stay
healthy and compete at the level we all think he is
capable of there is no reason to think that he won't
be one of the elite lineman in the country.
SS 20. Darnell Bing: Darnell Bing has long been know for his physical
prowess which has allowed him to succeed at certain
level so far in his career but with his obvious skills
the expectations from Trojan fans are great and this is
the year Darnell is expected to take his game to an
even higher level.
