[機統] Joint distributions
題目出自 Saeed Ghahramani的機率課本 (閃電本) ch8.1 Exercise 9
Let the joint probability density function of random variables X and Y
be given by
f(x,y) = 2 if 0≦y≦x≦1
f(x,y) = 0 elsewhere
Question Calculate P(X＜1/2) , P(X＜2Y) , P(X＝Y)
p(X＜1/2) 是對 X 的 marginal probability density functions 做積分
範圍從0~1/2 這邊好像是從定義，還算可以理解 答案是 1/4
但 P(X＜2Y) 這個答案給 1/2 又是怎麼計算出來的？
P(X＝Y) 答案又為何是 0 呢？
