To expand, she supports the idea that Taiwan is its own country, which goes
against the one-China principle.
Right now, there are two governments claiming to be "China". One is the
Republic of China (the current Taiwanese government), and the other is the
People's Republic of China (the government currently in power on the
mainland).
She doesn't want to claim China and instead wants Taiwan to be its own
independent state.
說詳細點就是，她支持台灣是個獨立國家的的信念，和一中原則相對。
現在有兩個政府自稱為「中國」，一個是中華民國(現在的台灣政府)，另一個是中華人民
共和國(實際掌控大陸的政府)。
她不想自稱為中國，而是想讓台灣成為獨立國家。
Is that bad? It seems like the logical thing to do
這有問題嗎，看起來是件很有邏輯的事。
Taiwan essentially is it's own country. They have different governments
completely. China claims Taiwan as it's own but nothing besides that actually
makes it part of China. What complicates matters is that Taiwan wants to be
considered THE China instead of just being Taiwan, reason being is that the
Taiwan government is the leftovers of the old Democratic government that used
to rule China before their communist revolution.
edit: ok so it wasn't originally a Democratic governemnt. Not sure if they
were capitalist either but I guess more friendly to the west/US? What we
think of China today was fractured by warlords at the time, but the KMT was
the closest thing there was to a Chinese government(this part I did know,
just didn't think it was that necessary to mention).

have one party wanting to eventually be a part of the mainland and another
that wants to be an independent country. What complicates matters is that
China is unwilling to give up territories that they consider theirs and
Taiwan has no way to compete economically or militarily.

Along with Blizzard launching their first Esports stadium/studio in Taiwan,
Taiwan is looking to become Asia-Pacific's Esports epicenter.
Eespecially considering Taiwan's extremely open tourism policy, it is ripe
for hosting international play. No wonder the President and other politicians
in Taiwan are taking note, it's nothing but goodness for the tourism economy.
In contrast, the Korean Esports scene, while mature, seems rather exclusive
to themselves. I'm not too sure if they have much room for hosting
international events regularly.

There was a post before worlds stating that the President held a ceremony for
FW and AHQ before they left. Pretty cool that the industry is being supported
by political figures in the LMS. From what I understand, they don't earn very
much money on the lower ranked teams.
