日本或IOC官網還沒有消息，目前能查到的第一手（IOC人員）的消息是這個：
“On the basis of the information the IOC has, postponement has been decided,
” Pound said in a phone interview. “The parameters going forward have not
been determined, but the games are not going to start on July 24, that much I
know.”
Pound, a Canadian who has been one of the most influential members of the IOC
for decades, said the games will likely be moved to 2021, with the details to
be worked out in the next four weeks. He said he expects the IOC to announce
its next steps soon.
在電話訪談中，Dick Pound（IOC執行董事會成員）告訴USA Today：「已經決定
延期了；細節還沒有決定，但我知道比賽不會在七月二十四開始。」
「奧運可能會被延期到2021，細節則會在未來四周敲定」
