[閒聊] Horner 對賓士近來速度發表意見

HORNER: NO PROTEST BUT WE QUESTIONED MERCEDES SPEED
看到這句我只想到一翻譯:「我沒有證據但我懷疑賓士在開車」

After the race, Horner said the Mercedes performance:
“Their straight-line speed has taken a significant step recently
and I think that whereas we could match them with smaller wings
previously, now we can’t get near."
Horner 說:
"賓士賽車顯然在直線速度上取得巨大的進展,過去我們可以用小一點的翼片角度
趕上他們,現在根本沒辦法接近。"
“We saw that particularly at this circuit where Lewis, in particular,
had a significant straight-line advantage with a bigger rear wing on
the car. We’ve got to maximise our package as best we can and, as I say,
it’s surprising that they’ve made the step that they have with the power
unit.”
"你看看這一站,Lewis的尾翼角度拿~~麼大,可是直線速度卻拿~麼快,
我們已經把我們的車盡我們所能的最佳化了,可是顯然他們在動力單元上
找到更多的速度,把我們嚇了一大跳。"
But Horner insisted that while questions were asked, they were not alone
as other teams also aired concerns: “Just for clarity, we didn’t
protest it. We raised some questions, as all teams do.
儘管如此,
Horner 特別澄清說他只是跟其他車隊一樣眉頭一皺覺得案情並不單純,
但沒有打算要提出抗議。

風水輪流轉,紅牛開第二套動力單元然後直線速度飛快的時候是賓士擺出這個臉~~
此前有另外的說法是土耳其去年新鋪,到今年磨過一年的新鋪面抓地力比較好
因此本來下壓力因為賽例砍底板被削減的賓士賽車在這上面獲得補償,
可以不用較高的下壓力調校跑賽車也抓的住地,所以直線就快了起來;
但如Horner所述,的確照片上看起來賓士賽車尾翼的角度就是比紅牛的大蠻多
不過兩車的設計概念迥異,所謂高低下壓力設定也未必可以用尾翼角度比出來就是
ps.同一個網站的新聞,倍耐力出來說 Hamilton的輪胎撐不到最後,必須得換
