1. 我覺得 "purpose" 比較像是你研究的動機，或者是「為什麼你要從事以下的研究」。
在此處 purpose 似乎不甚適合。
2. "purpose" 不會自己 "compare the difference"。所以你那一句也不合邏輯。
3. 純個人建議：不需執著在「之前」「之後」，乾脆改成這樣
The aim of this research is to investigate the effects of
quantitative easing on the global economy.
