這章是在講單複數 我覺得不難 但考出來...問題好多 1. The acoustics in the ild gym (1.was 2.were)hardly suitable for performance of the musical. A:2 (acountics 是個名詞 音響效果，為什麼要用複數?) 2. A team of engineers from America (1.is 2.are)to present reports at tomorrow's conference. A:2 (A team of 不是就要單數了嗎?) 3. The number of horse running in the Kentucky Derby (1.varies 2.vary) from year to year. A:1 (The number of 不就要是用單數嗎? A number of 才是用複數不是嗎?) 順便問 這句應該要怎麼翻阿? 4. The pair of mittens left on the school bus (1.belongs 2.belong) to either Jo or her younger sister. A:1 (老師說過，pair沒加S的話用單數，那為什麼這裡是複數?) EX(習題):The pair of lazy ceiling fans(1.were 2.was) doing little to cool the long, narrow room. 答案是was. 5. Least considered in the latest bombing campaign (1.was 2.were) the innocent victims. A:2 這句我就完全不懂了 囧 6. Living in big cities almost always (1.causes 2.cause) stress because or traffic jam, too few parking spaces, and too many people. A:1 (WHY!!! 強者我同學跟我說 動詞+S會變單數????? 但我還是不懂 為什麼 +S 會變單數????????) 7. Out of the ruins of Turkey (1.emerages 2.emerage) a story of hope and courage.
