: a. 這裡的 See his report on boxing 是指 "從拳擊的角度來看他寫的作文" 嗎？

: b. easily seen coming 的意思又應該是...？(很容易被識破？)
.....剛去google上下文看，see his report on boxing就跟原PO理解依樣，
算是metaphor吧，punches那句也就形容學生作文很遭，破綻百出
: 3. 有些父母大力誇獎年幼的子女 ，
: ("they always made me feel like I was the best:
: the most beautiful, the smartest, the most charming")，
: 等到子女上了高中後，在現實環境裡才發現自己原來沒那麼完美、因而失去自信
: ("Maybe I'm good enough, but I don't know anymore")。
: 以某位高一女生來說，她就在人際關係方面遇到了困境：
: 她連接喜歡的兩個男生都對她沒興趣 ＋ 老師好像都比較喜歡其他同學。
: 作者這樣子形容她的情形：
: They've put her on a pedestal and now she's stuck up there,
: unable to find out what level she would reach
: if she had a chance to bob around with everybody else.
: a. 請問，這裡的 bob around 是什麼意思呢？
: 查了一些辭典，都說是 "上下或來回的快速移動、擺動" 之類的意思，
