路加福音十21-24
就在那時刻，耶穌因聖神而歡欣說：
「父啊！天地的主宰，我稱謝你，
因為你將這些事瞞住了智慧和明達的人，而啟示了給小孩子。
是的，父啊！你原來喜歡這樣做。
我父將一切都交給我，除了父，沒有一個認識子是誰，
除了子及子所願啟示的人外，也沒有一個認識父是誰的。
耶穌轉過身來私下對門徒說：
「見你們所見之事的眼睛是有福的。
我告訴你們：
曾經有許多先知及君王希望看你們所見的，而沒有看見；
聽你們所聽的，而沒有聽到。」

Just at this time, filled with joy by the Holy Spirit, he said,
'I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and of earth, for hiding these things
from the learned and the clever and revealing them to little children. Yes,
Father, for that is what it has pleased you to do.
22
Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father; and no one knows who the
Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son and those to
whom the Son chooses to reveal him.'
23
Then turning to his disciples he spoke to them by themselves,
'Blessed are the eyes that see what you see,
24
for I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see,
and never saw it; to hear what you hear, and never heard it.'
單字：
reveal *v. 露出, 顯示, 透露, 揭露, 泄露, (神)啟示;
n. 窗側, 門側
entrust *v. 信賴, 信託, 交託
hide sth. from sb. 對某人保守某事為秘密
disciple *n.門徒
筆記：
英語福音有時會用比較長、被動的句型、一些子句，包來包去，
不是很直述，
可以用括號或顏色把子句括出來，幫助理解句子在講什麼。
例句>
I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and of earth,
for hiding these things（這些事）
from the learned and the clever（有學問的人、聰明的人）
and revealing them（這些事） to little children.
the + adj. --> ooxx的那種人
例如：the smart = 聰明的人們
the learned = 飽學之士
the clever = 聰明的人
例句>
Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father;
每件事都被天父交託給我了
and no one knows 沒人知道
who the Son is except the Father 子是誰，除了父知道,
and
who the Father is except the Son and those
to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
(也沒人知道)父是誰，除了子，
以及那些人[子願意啟示(自己)給他們的那些人]。
（這邊的him = the Son）
