手邊剛好有2009-11年的BA新秀手冊，翻了一下，林哲瑄在這三年分別排紅襪農場第14名，
20名跟25名
節錄一下其中對於林哲瑄防守能力的評價
2009：
The Red Sox's 2008 defensive player of the year,he's one of the best center
fielder in the minors.He has uncanny instincts,a quick first step and plus
speed,allowing him to glide to ball with ease.He also has plus-plus arm strengt
-h,rare for a center fielder.
2010：
Lin is a special defender,blanketing the gaps better than anyone of the organi-
zation,including Jacoby Ellsbury.He also has the best pure arm strength of any
of the organization's outfielders,and he led the Carolina League with 18 outfi
-eld assists in 2009.He sometimes tries to do too much defensively,which result
-ed in 11 errors last year.
2011：
The Red Sox named him their minor league defensive player of the year in 2010,
when managers rated him the top outfield defender in the Easten League.He has
plus speed and tremendous instincts in the center field,getting quick jumps and
making good reads.Unlike most center fielders,he has a cannon for an arm and
has recorded 33 assists during the last 2 seasons.He settled down defensively
last year,making just 3 errors after trying to do too much at times and commit
-ting 11 in 2009.

找這些報告單純只是想反駁某些低估林哲瑄過去防守能力的人，在這幾年林哲瑄還算是紅
襪潛力新秀的時候防守評價都差不多，守備能力有紅襪農場最佳甚至是整個聯盟最好的水
準，速度plus（20-80評60） 臂力plus-plus（20-80評70）
不過這三年的球探報告也都提到林哲瑄要站穩打擊要有成長才能成為大聯盟層級的先發球
員，最後結果如何大家都知道了

雖然是個能選到保送且不易被三振的打者，他的打擊貢獻依然不怎麼樣
