[問題] 請問一下AD信的內容
收到penn state EE 系上發的AD信，截取其中一段想請板友們幫忙解惑
Professor X in the area of Control Systems has indicated
that he is willing to act as your temporary advisor. If you have any
questions, you may contact Professor X by email at X@psu.edu. We
will not be able to provide financial aid. Please do not contact your
temporary advisor, or any other faculty, regarding funding opportunities.
You should wait until you arrive here and contact only the faculty who
advertise an assistantship position.
我對這一段的理解是:
系上不提供financial aid的意思是沒有fellowship，但是我應該可以去找TA跟RA
然後RA跟TA我只能到學校的時候才能找，不能現在在台灣就詢問學校的教授是否有RA跟TA
是這樣嗎?
我疑惑的是甚麼是"temporary advisor" ? 既然Prof. X指定要我，那不就代表假如我入學
他就肯定是我的advisor了，難不成我還可以去找其他教授當advisor?
還有如果Prof. X指定要我的話，那為什麼我不能跟他討論RA跟TA的事?
還有要到學校才去找RA跟TA是正常的嗎?
諸多疑惑，懇請了解相關事宜的版友幫忙解惑。
