【研究主題】
1. 5G-MEC (Mobile Edge Computing): H2020 project with EU partners
(UC3M, Ericsson, InterDigital, Telecom Italia) and TW partners (NCTU, ITRI, Foxconn, ADLink)
Network softwarization on 5G mobile systems with edge computing and fog computing
Research issues: service chain routing, multi-tenant slicing, multi-RAT offloading, federation, vehicular fog
2. IoT Security: joint research project with industry partners
Self integrity check for IoT eco-system with strong security
Blockchain on IoT gateway and machine learning on IoT server
3rd-party authentication in federated cloud, edge, fog
【研究風格】
1. 先D後R (先development後research), 題目由系統實作發現的問題找出,
而非看別人論文跟隨, 畢業時兼具產品實作與專利設計之能力.
2. 同時參與系統實作與論文研究兩項工作時, 會領兩份計畫研究助理薪資.
3. 碩士保證兩年畢業, 且在畢業典禮前口試, 實驗室管理自由開放,
只有在進度落後時才要求自我管理實驗室時間, 追上進度.
4. 與多國學者跨國合作，可培養國際觀，博士生有機會短期交換(3-6個月)或申請千里馬一年期國外研究。
【教授簡介】
林盈達任職交通大學資訊工程系特聘教授，於1993年取得UCLA電腦科學博士學位，他在2007年、2010年及2017年擔任Cisco訪問學者、
電信技術中心執行長、國家實驗研究院副院長各一年，他分別在2002及2018年新創L7 Networks Inc.(後被友訊科技D-Link併購)及
O’Prueba Inc.(詮隼科技)，他也在2002年創立網路測試中心NBL (Network Benchmarking Lab, www.nbl.org.tw)並擔任主任至今，
該中心近年以真實流量及自動化工具測試網通產品，且於2014年7月成為ONF(Open Networking Foundation)之認證實驗室，參與ONF
多項測試標準之制定。他的研究領域涵蓋網路協定設計、實作、分析與測試，近年以網路安全、無線通訊、嵌入式軟硬體效能及軟體
定義網路為主軸，他的 multi-hop cellular 論文是此議題之第一個研究，被引用次數超過850次並被標準化至IEEE 802.11s、
IEEE 802.15.5、WiMAX IEEE 802.16j及3GPP LTE-Advanced。他因在多階蜂巢通訊與深層封包檢查的貢獻而於2013年升任IEEE Fellow，
並於2017年獲得科技部傑出研究獎與資訊學會李國鼎穿石獎，目前也兼任ONF之研究員(Research Associate, 2014-2018)及
IEEE Distinguished Lecturer (2014-2017)，正擔任或擔任過十餘個國際期刊之編輯，包括

IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Computing,

他與中正大學黃仁竑教授及Fred Baker (Cisco Fellow)出版教科書Computer Networks: An Open Source Approach (McGraw-Hill, 2011, www.mhhe.com/lin)，
該書是第一本結合開放源碼實作講解協定設計之教科書。
