大大你好，小弟報告一下，因為早期的SUV是採用BOF(BODY ON FRAME)設計的，這也是大部分的PICK UP採用的設計，到中期開始降SIZE才有如同小型車的BFI(body frame integration / unibody)作法 BOF簡單的來說就是把車體(BODY)放在底盤(FRAME)，卡車底盤又大又堅固又耐用，就成了當時過渡時期的首選。 --------題外話------ 同樣時期看看美國老電影，有一些大的警車又大又耐撞通常也是BOF做法，那種像船一樣的乘坐感，則變成了美國車調性的代名詞，在80年代左右，日汽車也藉由了模仿了類似的乘坐感加上更好的妥善率，在'80尾'90初美國異軍突起，就常駐了subcompact, 小轎車(Corolla) 中轎車(Camry) 的銷售榜前段班。至於大型轎車則還是美國廠的天下 --------題外話end---- 在這樣的脈絡之下，看到維基上面寫，SUV被視為LIGHT TRUCK的一種，就不是很意外了。但是一般在進行銷售量比較的時候，LIGHT TRUCK(F150之類)和SUV都會分開，更何況TRUCK分非常多種，而且市場是很特殊的(題外話二會談一下)， SUV也是，從小中大，都應該要分開計算(不過SUV的壽命也在美快到末期了)。在大大引用的條目當中DESIGNS部分，有更詳細的說明。在這裡用簡單白話的方式說明，請各位大大要鞭手下留情T___T -------以下維基百科---------------(跪求翻譯，我翻起來很不順。) Designs Although designs vary, SUVs have historically been mid-size passenger vehicles with a body-on-frame chassis similar to that found on light trucks.
