What Fury said to Thor is still unknown to us, but what we do know is now not even Odin can pick up the hammer. However, someone was able to lift the iconic weapon and she has been transformed into the Goddess of Thunder. Several of Thor's close allies immediately came to mind -- even the all-mother, Freyja -- but this second issue gives us a huge clue by showing the character's thoughts. As you can see in the image above, she doesn't appear to be Asgardian and thinks more like, well, a regular human! She's unfamiliar with what Mjolnir is capable of -- something Thor's closest allies would definitely know by now --and she even refers to our planet as Earth, not Midgard. Our new lead begins to climb it, and on her way up she encounters some frozen Asgardians. A startling sight, sure, but what's especially surprising is she stumbles upon some frozen Avengers! Spider-Man, Hawkeye, Spider-Woman, She-Hulk, and the new Captain America (just because you're Cap now doesn't mean you need to be frozen like he was, Sam) have been incapacitated. They're frozen in place and it looks like they were prepared to fight. If you read THOR: GOD OF THUNDER, one character should immediately come to mind: S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Roz Solomon. As part of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Environmental Action Team, Dario and his company's terrible, terrible policies were put right on her radar. She's determined to stop the man (as we saw one final time in THOR: GOD OF THUNDER #24) and she's been nothing but a strong and driven character since making her debut. Firstly, she cares for Thor, so upon hearing about his situation on the moon, it's very possible she'd want to go and speak to him. Secondly, she has the means to get there. She's an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and communicates with Agent Coulson. Considering all of the work she's done, I'd say they'd give her the equipment needed to take a trip out there. And, if not, she's proven determined enough to just take the vehicle she'd need to get there. "But what about the hair?!" Well, if Mjolnir gives the person new clothing, is it possible it dyed her hair, too? If it can make armor and a cape magically appear, changing her hair so she looks more like the Thor everyone has come to know isn't really that farfetched, is it? While we still have a lot to learn about the character, Aaron at least does a great job showing that, even though she's new, she has no problem dishing out an awesome hammer toss. With just one throw, the weapon bounces around the room, pummeling all of the tall enemies.
