大概在季中的時候就有這件事了但是今年遇到多事之秋所以就沒什麼理他故事的來龍去脈是這樣先是Fox Sports 跟 ESPN 競爭兩者都有出價 FOX Sports 一開始出的價碼比較高訴求是跟FOX Sports Package 一起包裝所以你只要有Sports Package 裡面有FOX Sports network 就會有Longhorns Network 然後ESPN的訴求就是他們做體育頻道做的比較威猛開價是10M 學校比較中意ESPN 所以就一直在談到最後是20年300M 等於一年15M 這些錢是ESPN 直接給我們的重點是我們的商標有一部分掌握在IMG College上面所以也必須要IMG College 授權給ESPN 然後一起簽約這樣所以最後的總金額是 ESPN 給我們15M IMG College 給我們 10M 總額是每年至少25M 如果Big12 答應我們的轉播金成真的話那就有額外20M的收入光電視這部分就有45M 相較目前威猛的OSU Big10 TV 給20M IMG College 給12M 總額32M 整整多了13M 而且這25M是保障20年在合約中ESPN 是執行者的角色我們握有最後的主導權也就是說未來還有繼續談其他附加條款的可能性 ESPN也要在校園內蓋錄影棚這個Longhorn Network 也會轉播UIL的比賽因為UIL是UT-Austin所擁有的一部分未來連畢業典禮也是在專播的範圍內除了體育賽是以及相關節目外這頻道也可以用在學術交流用途目前為止消息大概就這樣了至於專播的那場Football game most likely是最難看的那場據傳接下來唯一有機會的是Notre Dame UF 已經跟ESPN還是CBS有類似的電視合約了所以可行性不高最後 A&M 請哭泣吧活該不一起加入 ※ 引述《JackTheFob (芝加哥台客一號)》之銘言： : 原文: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=6037857 : Texas, ESPN announce new network : AUSTIN, Texas -- ESPN and the University of Texas will combine on a 24-hour : television network showing Longhorns sports as well as original series, studio : shows, historical programming and other academic and cultural events. : ESPN和德州大學將合作搞個二十四小時的長角牛頻道。 : There also will be an online component to the network offering content not : featured on the linear TV feed. : 還會提供線上轉播喔 (會不會支援Kinect或iPhone呢?) : ESPN will help develop, launch and operate the network, according to a news : release.
