[新聞] 倫敦地鐵試行新規 電扶梯兩邊都站人

在地鐵站搭電扶梯的時候,許多乘客習慣靠一邊站立,把另一邊空出來留給趕時間的人行
走,不過英國倫敦霍本地鐵站改採取新措施,要求電扶梯兩側都改成「站位」,新法針對
地鐵站超過18.5公尺長的電扶梯,今年4月開始試行半年。
試行新規的主要車站是倫敦霍本(Holborn)站,也是倫敦最繁忙的車站之一。交通規劃
人員說,原本大家都只佔在電扶梯的一邊,另一邊閒置不用,反而浪費可以輸運乘客的空
間,所以希望兩側都站人,可以多輸運一些乘客進站或離站。
霍本車站去年就測試了3個星期,結果發現在交通尖峰時間,電扶梯兩側都站人可以輸運
16220人,相較於平時只能輸運12745人,有效紓解擁擠情況。
因為實驗成效不錯,地鐵當局決定從4月起再試行半年,地鐵站人員認為這樣慢慢改變乘
客的觀念,倫敦地鐵客戶策略主任艾佛斯(Mark Evers)則稱,結果一如預期,乘客評價
好壞不一,畢竟目前還在測試初期。
美國《紐約時報》訪問地鐵乘客,感覺不便的還不在少數,有人說他習慣走上電扶梯,因
為呆立不動很蠢,還有人說平時把走電扶梯當運動,現在也只好跟著人權乖乖站到樓上,
抱怨少了運動機會。有乘客發推文形容,「要英國人站在電扶梯左邊,就跟要求老鼠吃飯
前先洗手一樣」。
霍本站因為人潮洶湧,尖峰時間人滿為患,有時下班時間站務人員還得故意關閉車站10分
鐘,等人潮疏散一些後再放乘客入站。(蔡筱雯/綜合外電報導)
