An HPET chip consists of a 64-bit up-counter (main counter) counting at a
frequency of at least 10 MHz, and a set of (at least three, up to 256)
comparators.
Each comparator can generate an interrupt when the least significant bits are
equal to the corresponding bits of the 64-bit main counter value.

是 memory hijack for timer , 不是 memory hijacked 好嗎....
指的應該是避免因為要取得精確的時間間隔,
必須利用程式跑回圈讀TSC、浪費記憶體的狀況
(其實應該是避免浪費CPU才對....)
