The arts can reveal the otherwise hidden ideas and impulses of a society.
舉例 從三個地方來看
We can know the culture through the contemporary contemporary arts,
for instance, music, literature, and performing arts.
Music~ Jazz music
約略敘述時代背景,黑奴那時代下,藉由音樂抒發心靈
這是一種藉由藝術方式,表現出那時候的生活或是其他問題!
→這是隱藏的,卻可以藉此知道一些社會的當代背景。
literature~ By reading best sales literature
藉著目前的暢銷書籍,可以反映出目前社會中的需求
例如:目前全球經濟衰退,所以相對的理財或是學習其他技能的書籍
相對下就變成了比較暢銷的書籍,較受到重視的議題。
→ 這也是另一種方式知道社會的其他隱藏的層面。
performing arts ~ Performing arts also consider as a social commentary.
表演藝術,我舉我們自己國家的相聲為例子,很多題材都可以知道當今社會的問題
就像西方國家的舞台劇,或是脫口秀,除了反映出社會的問題,還有諷刺政治,經濟
更甚至是民生問題。
→ 表演藝術也是一種取材於社會的類似形式呈現,一樣也可以知道

綜合以上觀點,我同意這樣的議題 The arts (painting, music, literature, etc.)
reveal the otherwise hidden ideas and impulses of a society.
