剛剛看了些國外討論這個"comma+ing"的文章，分享給大家。
A "comma -ing" setup is an adverbial modifier, not a noun modifier.
Generally speaking, a "comma -ing" set up will modify the full meaning
of the preceding clause, which includes the subject, the verb, and
(if present) the object!
也就是A兔大所說的Comma+ing有副詞修飾功能，
所以 ,absorbing 可以修飾前面adj clause的S,V (a breakwater of rocks...rise...)
並不單只能修飾main clause的 S, V (the army corps...proposed...)
不過為什麼A兔大提到"通常" comma+ving在句尾時當副詞修飾功能，難道有其他的規則？

: 判斷句意不合，排除(C)選項，結果答錯了，有請各位版友幫助我解決
