SS Ian Desmond could be coming back off the disabled list Friday. He's been
on the DL since July 22 with a strained oblique, and the Nats thought he'd be
out around five weeks. But Desmond's gotten better faster, and Friday could
be his return date. The question is who gets moved to accommodate him.

SS Ian Desmond took early batting practice Tuesday at AT&T Park, another
positive sign he is getting closer to returning from his left oblique strain.
Desmond has been on the disabled list since July 22.
