A-Rod could miss 6-8 weeks with broken left hand. 八局被King砸到左手骨折預計休6-8週 http://atmlb.com/NRZLSx SEATTLE -- Alex Rodriguez suffered a broken left hand during Tuesday's 4-2 loss when he was hit by a pitch from the Mariners' Felix Hernandez. A non-displaced fracture will send Rodriguez to the disabled list. He will fly back to New York to see team physician Christopher Ahmad. The Yankees won't know the exact timetable until Thursday, but Rodriguez is expected to miss six to eight weeks. "He's upset," Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. "He wants to be out there. We're not going to have him and we're going to have to find a way." Rodriguez was batting in the eighth inning when Hernandez came up and in with an 88-mph pitch which Rodriguez could not evade. He immediately cried out in pain and dropped to his back, writhing for several moments at home plate. Head athletic trainer Steve Donohue attended to Rodriguez on the field, accompanied by Girardi. At one point, Donohue attempted to remove Rodriguez's batting glove, only for Rodriguez to yelp in pain, appearing to tell him not to. Rodriguez left for a pinch-runner, replaced by Jayson Nix. "It's a huge loss," Yankees infielder Eric Chavez said. "Al is so important to our team. This is definitely going to hurt."
