也許這裡 more than 是當副詞片語修飾 pay their way，
這句我翻做「他們非常地自食其力」。
另外我有在 longman 查 pay your way 的用法。
翻譯大致上意思對即可，同樣的意思有多種翻譯(表達)的方式，
就連英文雜誌後面附的中文翻譯，頁頭都有標註僅供參考。
最起碼你知道不是當成比較的意思，方向就沒走錯了。
原先你翻「大多」也無不可，感覺上有修飾「自食其力」的程度即可。
