這句有作省略，完整句應該是
(Because he/she was) seated next to the Chairman of the Board ,
the prospective CEO candidate seemed to be uneasy.
簡化之後，就看出答案是 D:Seated，
不能選A to sit 是因為既然這個CEO 候選人對坐在the Chairman of the Board
的旁邊會感到不自在，那不可能是還會特地去坐，所以不可能是表目地。
