as much as [aaa], [bbb]
有時可當 although (雖然) 解，都代表轉折，雖然與 although 還是有差，但差別不大
當然如用作直接比較時不可當 although 解，如
[a] as much as [b]
I love you as much as I love apple pie!
那既然都是"雖然"，要兩個英語詞幹嘛?
1) although 一定有轉折，as much as 則未必
2) as much as 可以有比較性，although 沒有
(如 paulchi 大前面所說)
舉例：
although [he's ugly], [his wife is hot]
有轉折：雖然他醜，但老婆很辣
as much as [I trust you], [I can't lend you the money]
有轉折：我雖然很相信你，但還是不能借你這筆錢
[I trust you] as much as [I trust John]
沒轉折：我相信你跟相信約翰的程度一樣
[I trust you] as much as [I can throw you]
沒轉折：我不相信你 (此為常見厘語)
[直譯：我相信你的程度跟我能把你拎起來丟出去的距離一樣]
再舉例：
[I trust you] as much as [I trust John]
有比較性但沒轉折：我相信你跟相信約翰的程度一樣
As much as [I trust you], [I also trust John]
有比較性也有轉折：雖然我相信你，(但)我也相信約翰
最後，到底如何分呢?
