[文法] 文法一題
1. While there were countless bike shops in turn-of-the-century America,
in only one were wings being built as well as wheels.

【疑問】請問為何這裡用were而非was呢？ 我自己的解釋是,
in only one (shop) (there) were wings being built as well as wheels.
因為shop和there在上一句有出現過，故省略。但是又覺得後面的as well as
接法很怪。一般都是wings as well as wheels，名詞+as well as +名詞，這
樣詞性才會整齊。
希望可以得到更容易理解的解釋，非常感謝 :)
