In the Premier League, Broja started up front as Southampton bounced back from a heavy defeat at the hands of Chelsea last weekend to dent Arsenal's Champions League qualification aspirations. The Saints won 1-0 courtesy of Jan Bednarek's goal on the stroke of half-time, with the hosts having survived a number of scares prior to that. Also on Saturday afternoon, Billy Gilmour featured for Norwich City against Manchester United at Old Trafford as the Canaries narrowly lost by the odd goal in five, with Cristiano Ronaldo's hat-trick winning the day for the hosts. The young Scot came off the bench for the final 17 minutes, with the defeat leaving them rooted to the bottom of the table with six matches remaining. https://i.imgur.com/NMKy44Y.jpg
Gilmour came on for Norwich at Old Trafford Baba Rahman and Danny Drinkwater played back-to-back 90 minutes for a Reading side that edged closer to Championship safety with a win and a draw this week. The Royals grabbed a stoppage-time winner at Bramall Lane on Good Friday before staging an improbable comeback from 4-1 down to pick up a point at home to Swansea City on Easter Monday, leaving them needing one more victory in their final three games to stay up. At the other end of the table, Huddersfield Town maintained their promotion push with a 2-0 win at Middlesbrough and a 2-2 draw against Queens Park Rangers. Levi Colwill started in a back four against the west Londoners and then on the left of a back three on Teesside as the Terriers finished the weekend in third. Tino Anjorin came on for the final 15 minutes in the first of those games. Nathan Baxter made his first appearance since the end of January between the posts for Hull City but couldn't prevent the Tigers falling to a 2-1 loss at Millwall. Meanwhile, Ian Maatsen featured in both Coventry City's 4-2 win at Birmingham City and their 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth, at left wing-back on both occasions. https://i.imgur.com/U8qmF4e.jpg
Baxter returned in goal for Hull Emerson Palmieri was involved at left-back on a disappointing European night for Lyon as the French side were beaten 3-0 by West Ham to crash out of the Europa League at the quarter-final stage. https://i.imgur.com/MFzzq74.jpg
There was European disappointment for Emerson and Lyon Les Gones bounced back in Ligue 1 at the weekend with a 6-1 victory over relegation-threatened Bordeaux, with the Italy international full-back off the bench for the final 25 minutes. They are just four points off the European places with six games remaining in France. In Turkey, Michy Batshuayi led the line for Besiktas in a goalless draw at Giresunspor that leaves the Black Eagles seventh in the Super Lig. Karlo Ziger was in goal for NK Rudar Velenje as they were beaten 2-0 at Triglav. There was an assist for Mason Burstow in Charlton Athletic's home defeat to Morecambe, the young striker cushioning a neat header into the path of Jayden Stockley to reduce the arrears for an Addicks side that eventually lost 3-2 at the Valley. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAHXkhhHQLM
伯斯托頭球助攻 Elsewhere in League One, Henry Lawrence started at right wing-back in AFC Wimbledon's 3-1 loss at already-relegated Crewe Alexandra and came off the bench in a 1-1 draw with Wycombe Wanderers. Meanwhile, Jamie Cumming was in goal for MK Dons as they lost 3-2 to Sheffield Wednesday. That proved a dent to the Dons' automatic promotion ambitions and they remain third, level on points with second-placed Rotherham United having played a game more. There were a pair of defeats for Sami Tlemcani and Merstham in the Isthmian League as they went down 3-1 to Bognor Regis and 2-1 to Wingate and Finchley. Similarly in the Southern League Premier Division South, Ethan Wady was in goal as Hendon lost 4-2 at Kings Langley and 1-0 to Farnborough. -- Burrell: "If the Gods are fucking you, you find a way to fuck them back.
