教宗方濟的父親是由義大利移民至阿根廷，因而教宗方濟也有義大利血統，故合乎了「羅馬
人」；而「彼德」即為「伯多祿」，是教會的盤石的承繼人，即為今日所稱的教宗。
最後也是最長的一段預言：
拉丁語原文：
In p secutione extrema S.R.E. edebit. Petrus Romanus, qui pa cet oues in
multis tribulationibus: quibus tran actis ciuitas epticollis diruetur, &
Iudex trem dus iudicabit populum uum. Finis.
英語譯文：
"In the extreme persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there will sit [i.e., as
bishop].
Peter the Roman, who will pasture his sheep in many tribulations:
and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills will be destroyed,
and the terrible judge will judge his people.
The End."
漢語譯文：
「在對神聖羅馬教會的最後迫害中，（教會）將由羅馬人伯多祿所統治。他將在苦難中牧養
主的羔羊。當這些完結後，七山之城將會被毀滅，令人敬畏的天主將審判他的子民。完結。
」
