既然有人問了台灣人到底有沒有可能去美國念醫學系呢？答案是要過三關 1.申請資格如果你沒有以下兩項條件之一難度會很高 1)你在美國大學畢業或至少念過一年以上大學研究所 2)你沒有美國公民或綠卡首先,外國人是不可以申請大部分的美國公立學校（UC, UVa, UWash, UMich)的醫學院少數的是可以的,（unc, penn state)但會把你當成是外州人所以難度也變高注意的是很多美國人把州立學校當成是safety 所以你申請就沒有了保護傘對私立學校而言很多學校會要求外國人至少在美國念過一年的書 Harvard HMS: Supplemented their education with at least one year of college or university training in the United States or Canada if they have completed academic work outside the United States or Canada. (Foreign students who do not have a baccalaureate or advanced degree from an institution in the United States or Canada are rarely accepted for admission.) Dartmouth SOM: Three years of post-secondary study at US and/or Canadian colleges or universities TUFTS Med: International applicants are eligible to apply to TUSM, but should be advised that we admit very few and give strong preference to US citizens and permanent residents. We also give strong preference to applicants who have (or will have by the time of matriculation) completed their undergraduate work at a US college or university. 等等每個學校都有不同的規定 2.申請難度 MCAT的難度不是gre可以比的（無貶低的意思但事實是mcat真的需要大量額外的準備）接著國際學生申請成功的比率也一直比美國人低很多如MSAR所說例如UPenn Pearlman 去年外州生5281申請 775面談 135最後入學國際生258 申請 8面談 2最後入學所以不是辦不到只是難度很高而已 3.付學費 ,身為外國人是不可能拿美國政府獎學金的（financial aid）所以要不是學校給獎學金（通常來說極少）就要想辦法自己付現在私立醫學院一年大概要＄50000學費＋20000生活費連接受資助的美國醫學院畢業生四年下來平均負債都大概至少100,000了所以要自己想清楚到底付不付的起所以假設你沒有畏懼的話就來吧不過在台灣考學士後醫似乎比較容易而且非常便宜！！！ -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 98.122.181.95
