這首歌的歌名就叫The Beat Goes On，最先錄製好像是sonny & cher，
後來比較廣為人知的版本是buddy rich和她女兒cathy rich合作的爵士版本，
Mercedes上的版本也是jazz曲風，但聲音聽起來不像cathy rich。
這首歌在jude law演的電影alfie裡也出現過，剛好是jude law和susan sarandon
make out時的配樂，當初憑著殘缺的片段不清楚的歌詞瘋狂google才找到的。
