先說,以下是我胡找一通拼湊出來的資訊

P55 2MB,H55 8MB SPI不確定是什麼鬼...

可能是1百多MB中被扣掉的其中之一,但資料1的表格,H55,P55又沒有AMT...

High BIOS Area
The top 2 MB (FFE0_0000h–FFFF_FFFFh) of the PCI Memory Address Range is
reserved for System BIOS (High BIOS),
The actual address space required for the BIOS is less than 2 MB,
but the minimum processor MTRR range for this region is 2 MB
— so that full 2 MB must be considered.
應該就是BIOS初始化最基本的需求2MB吧
工程師說的那個"根據Clarkdale BIOS spec rev0.1, Section5.4.3要求"
我找不到資料
個人推論:
1.工程師是對的,但是H55+有內顯,4G東扣西扣總共1XXMB,8G少扣64MB
沒內顯,只扣BIOS需求2MB
但是沒有關於P55,H55以及有沒有內顯的狀況區別
因為工程師只回答人家問的 有內顯+H55+4G,8G的狀況
其中還有可能是remapping的問題,H55可能沒寫好,所以被扣
2.工程師嘴砲,其實是板廠BIOS沒寫好remapping
我個人是選擇相信工程師的說法,說的這麼有條理應該是對的
不過好像以前也發生過BIOS沒寫好多扣的情況耶...
真正的原因,要請專業的工程師來解說
