另外還有最經典的形容詞 whole 和 mere
We spent a whole 3 hours there.
We spent a mere 3 hours there.
這是因為56 loads, 3 tons, 3 hours整個被視為一個概念/單位
可以想成:
We spent a whole ten years.
= We spent a whole decade.
所以之前推文裡面有人提到 應該寫成 an astonishing-56-load
這也是錯的
用hyphen(-)來創造名詞比較沒有那麼自由 不一定能自創
許多都是既有用法 例如: have-not, passer-by
而用hyphen來創造形容詞才有自由度
例如:
a boy who is 20 years old ==> a 20-year-old boy
a boy who is not so clever ==> a not-so-clever boy
a note that reads "Thank you" ==> a thank-you note
重點在於名詞不能亂造
例如寫成 a boy-who-is-not-so-clever 這樣是錯的

: 這邊缺一個動詞，因為ing可以把整件事情轉變成名詞。

最後回到原問題
只需要思考下列類比就可以:
2 loads of cum 2發洨(的量)
2 puffs of cigarette smoke 2口菸(的量)
2 glasses of water 2杯水(的量)
所以實際上load(可數名詞)這個字並不等於cum(不可數物質名詞)
因為還可能有其他搭配用字
2 loads of laundry 需要用洗衣機洗兩回的髒衣服的量
只是在一段色情的文章裡面
讀者看到 2 loads 就會知道是 2 loads of cum
因此經常只會寫出/講出 loads
你不會因為中文可以說 "你射幾發在裡面?"
就說 "發" = "洨" 吧?
