I ROUND
Jury members shall be independent and not have own students in the
competition. In principle results shall not be a matter of arrangement and/or
discussion between jury members, they shall however be a compromise of
individual and clear statements of each jury member about each contestant. By
the explained voting system clear results will be achieved. Any discussion
about procedures or results and especially any revoting are not subject of
these jury rules. To achieve these goals, the following jury rules apply:
a) After Round I, each jury member will cast 12 names without ranking, who
she/he wants to hear again in Round II. Those сontestants with a majority of
votes will pass on to Round II.
b) Then each jury member will be needed to vote for the second time, now
giving points between 0 and 25. This vote is taken into account only in case
of a tie in the bottom line: the tied contestant (s) with bigger accumulation
of points will pass on. Votes a) given to contestants not passing to Round II
will be disclosed upon announcing the results.
To avoid any influence on further voting, all votes a) and b) given to the
passing contestants will be kept confidentially to everybody, including the
jury. Results will be made available one hour after the last performance of
Round I. Jury members will then be available to explain their voting directly
to those who failed to pass to the next round.
II ROUND
a) The same procedure applies; however now each judge will give only 6 names
without ranking. Those 6 with majority of votes will pass on further.
b) Then each jury member will be needed to vote for the second time (see the
same procedure in Round I). Again, this vote is taken into account only in
case of a tie in the bottom line: the tied candidate (s) with the bigger
accumulation of points will pass on. Votes a) given to contestants not
passing to the next round will be disclosed after announcing the results.

Round II. Jury members will then be available to explain their voting

III Round
Each judge will now rank the 6 finalists in her/his own preference; the
accumulated minority of votes will determine the ranking of the finalists.
Evaluation method: rank 1 = 1 point, rank 2 = 2 points, etc. In case of a
tie, the place of a finalist is determined by the total number of points b)
accumulated in the two previous rounds voting. For the decision with regard
to final prizes, the jury must consider all the performances throughout the
Competition. The 1st Prize/Gold Medal (the tied vote is unacceptable) can be
awarded by a majority of votes (with a deciding vote of at least 8 out of
11). For special prices each judge will give one name; prices will be decided
by simple majority of votes. Jury decisions are final and not revocable.
