The impression after reading "Thinking Like A Mountain"
There is a marvelous balance kept in nature.Many deers and wolves are living in
the mountain. Deers eat trees and wolves eat deers. Three of them make up a
simple food chain, and the relationship between them is close, too. There are
abundant trees in the mountain for deers to eat, so deer become more and more.
Then wolves eat deers, and wolves increase, too. Thus, the more deers, the
more wolves, on the contrary, the less deers, the less wolves. A balance is
just made, and it last for thousand of decades.
One day, here comes some hunters. They come into the mountain and hunt wolves.
The wolves become less and deers increase dramatically. The trees are ate too
much;the balance has been broken, and the mountain is going to die.
It is human that kill the mountain. Human alaways do harm to environment for
many purpose, and cause some perpetual damage which already endanger to human
ourself. It is a warning that we should stop harming environment, and try hard
to keep it not to be demolished. The last sentence ofthe article say "The
hidden meaning in the howl of tje wolf, long known among mountains, but seldom
percieved among men." We don't percieve in the past, but now we do. What we
should do is to let the balance go on, and certainly not to meddle it.
