thanks for your message and your interest to
pursue a PhD at the School of Natural Resources.
I am currently conducting several projects that might be of interest
to you and that can be developed in new directions to suit your vision
for your professional development. These projects that are related with
Great Lakes ecological issues touch in each of three aspects that you
mentioned in your statement of purpose letter. That plus your background
are the reasons why I think I can help you through your graduate program
and I have committed to serve as a co-advisor together with Dr. M. Wiley.
Through my current projects I can provide you with partial funding.
I am aware that as a foreign student you need to provide proof of financial
support for a minimum number of years and at the moment it is not possible
to offer you such a statement. If you are able to join our program despite
this fact we can discuss options for your participation in my projects and
for other sources of future funding.
Please do not hesitate to ask further questions.
