現在幾乎每台車都裝有「第三煞車燈」,能有效增加緩衝距離、提升路上安全,但不說大
家可能不知道,「第三煞車燈」為台廠首先發明,但當年被歸類是違法改裝品,美國卻將
此裝置列為強制配備,等同說明「自家不挺台灣製、美國超挺」的概念,台政府有如被打
臉般,意識到重要性後趕緊修法規定汽車必須強制加裝。
當年台灣廠商發明「第三煞車燈」,接著賣到全世界,卻被政府認定是違法改裝品,若車
主加裝此種煞車燈,就會遭到警方取締、開罰單,而美國卻認為此裝置有助於行車安全,
積極納入新車法規「強制車廠一律安裝」,才讓台灣政府意識到原來「第三煞車燈」如此
重要,修法要汽車強制加裝。
交通部曾針對「第三煞車燈」進行測試,結果顯示此裝置能縮短0.035秒~0.067秒的反應
時間,藉此爭取到1~1.6公尺的煞車緩衝距離,及早提醒後方駕駛踩煞車,如此一來便能
有效減少碰撞意外。
若說到「第三煞車燈」的裝設位置,屬後擋風玻璃正下方最合適,而煞車燈的形狀以梯形
最好,接著為正方形,效果較差的是條狀LED式樣。

之前有聽過美國認為第三煞車燈能提高警覺而定為必備;但是沒想到是台灣發明的
交通部從以前開始就只知道禁止,到現在還是禁止一堆改裝品
但是最基本的撞擊測試卻沒在做,最近看到的新聞說TW-NCAP只會測試銷售前十大的車款
不知道交通部對台灣汽車產業的貢獻是甚麼?
