序號是S88+五位數的老Fender基本上同S8+五位數，從1978-1980都有可能
要正確的辨認製造年份（有可能每個部分都是不同時間製造的）得要從
複數來源辨認，包括琴頸接合處，琴身neck pocket，護板下面可能有的貼紙
還有可變電阻的序號等來判斷。
在此引用J.W.Black的 "The Fender Bass" 書中一段：
"Around this time, the variations between the models started to blur,
and the serial number sequencing, or its absence, contributed to
increased confusion around dating the models. It remains confusing
whether the decade/year designated decals were used at random over
a couple years, or whether earlier necks were actually placed on
newer bodies."
