J1是個好用的Visa，但是他還是有一些限制
他可以延長為五年，所以基本上如果你計畫是延續的，那就沒什麼問題
關於J1的限制，以下是我們學校i-Center給我的答覆，請當參考
There may be restrictions which would prevent you from repeating a J-1
status. One restriction is called the 24-Month Bar. This prevents you from
starting a new J-1 in the Research Scholar (longer term) category immediately
after completing the current J1 status. You must wait 2 years to do so.
This rule is different than the two year home residence requirement.
You can only begin a new J-1 in the Short-Term Scholar category though. This
category allows you to stay for a maximum of 6 months only. However, you may
be subject to the Two-Year Home residence restriction again.
簡單來說就是若J1結束後（當然你最多是可以用五年的），兩年內不可以再辦J1
你可以辦J1 short-term scholar，最多半年且可能受two-yr residency的限制
因此一旦你waiver了，代表不能夠延長至五年，只能改辦其他簽證或是
short-term scholar （最多半年）
