[北美] OPT期間更新F1/F2填表疑問
小弟今年暑假由學校畢業，10月1日 OPT 開始生效，我也由10月6日開始上班，明年農曆年時打算回台灣一趟，並將家人帶至美國。我有二個小孩，都是在美國出生的，我老婆目前是公務員，但打算在今年底離職，明年跟我一起到美國。我的 F1 跟老婆的 F2 都在今年七月底到期，I-20 也在暑假到期，因此需要到 AIT renew F1/F2，才能再回美國。我打算預約明年1月20號左右的面試，在填申請表 DS-156 時，有幾項遇有疑問，想在此請教各位鄉民。
Item 20:
Name and Address of Present Employer or School
me: 這裏我要填現在工作的公司，還是畢業的學校？
my wife: 填現在上班機關嗎？還是 N/A (明年一月時，老婆應該沒工作）?
Item 21:
Present Occupation
me: 我該填我現在的職稱 (Senior Staff Engineer) 還是 Student?
my wife: 填現在公務員身份，還是 N/A?
Item 26:
How long do you intent to stay in the U.S.?
me and my wife: 這題有點 tricky，我當然是想留在美國繼續工作，而且公司會幫我申請 H1B，因此我該填多久呢？填一年可以嗎？我的 OPT 在 2009年九月底到期。
Item 27:
What is the purpose of your trip?
me: 可以直接寫 OPT 嗎？
my wife: 我老婆這項該怎麼填？stay with family?
Item 32:
Do you intend to work in the U.S.? Yes/No
(If YES, give the name and complete address of U.S. employer)
me: 應該是 Yes，還是該選 No，因為 OPT 是 F1 status?
my wife: No
Item 33: Do you intend to study in the U.S.? Yes/No
me and my wife: 應該是 No.
Item 37:
Are any of the following persons in the U.S., or do they have U.S. citizenship?
Mark YES or NO and indicate that person's status in the U.S.
我的二個小孩都在美國生的，我應該勾
Yes: Son/Daughter, status: U.S. citizen
對嗎？
以上是我填表時遇到的疑問，希望有人幫忙解惑，感激不盡。
另外，我曾 email 問過 AIT 關於 OPT 期間 renew F1 要多準備那些文件，他們回我說除了該填的表格外（申請 F1/F2 VISA要用的），還要帶 job offer letter (proof of employment), 畢業證書，EAD card。我也有問到是否要重繳 SEVIS fee, AIT 回說
" If you have continued to maintain your F-1 status while on OPT, you do not need to pay a new SEVIS fee."
我想我是不用重繳 SEVIS fee，對吧？
