Catherine McNeil ducks for cover ONE of Australia's hottest international models, Catherine McNeil, has been missing in action from the fashion show circuit, with rumours rife that she has put on weight or is suffering from a mystery virus. Catherine McNeil這一季消失的的原因謠傳是她變胖了還有一種說法是她感染了神秘的病毒....(這什麼鬼?) But according to Kathy Ward, her Australian agent at Chic Model Management, on Friday, McNeil, 20 - who was last seen topless in the September issue of Vogue and snapped making out with Ruby Rose at a hotel swimming pool in LA in June - is fine and doing lots of editorial work out of New York. 不過她的agent否認了這些說法說她人很好而且在紐約拍攝了許多作品 She has also been ranked the eighth top model in the world, according to models.com "I haven't heard anything about weight gain or a mystery illness," Ward said. "I only know the international show circuit is incredibly demanding with fittings at 2am and lots of travelling. Maybe she decided to take a break from it this season?" 她的agent表示可能是她覺得趕秀實在太累了所以想休息一季 Model industry insiders remain sceptical about this, wondering why she wouldn't, like Miranda Kerr, choose one or two prestigious shows. 不過模特兒界對這種說法感到懷疑質疑她為何不像Miranda Kerr一樣走個一兩場也好 Interestingly on Saturday morning, Ward messaged Hush to say McNeil was back in Brisbane visiting her parents. 有趣的是在週六早上她的agent又說 McNeil回家鄉探望父母了 Also not taking a public role of late is model/actress Gemma Ward, who is said to be still grieving over the loss of her close friend, Heath Ledger. 另外一個很久不見的模特兒/演員Gemma Ward 據說她仍然對好友Heath Ledger的死去感到無法釋懷 Replacing McNeil as the most successful new Australian model overseas is 20-year-old Abbey Lee Kershaw. 目前取代McNeil地位的澳洲模特兒是現年20歲的Abbey Lee "Abbey is very much the flavour of the month," Ward said. "She opened and closed Versace, Fendi and Dolce & Gabbana's shows, while also appearing in Stella McCartney and Kenzo's collections." All this after Kershaw put her feet up for a season following a high-heel -induced leg injury.
