我推文上寫的不清楚，所以這邊開一篇文回應。
這個消息約一個月前就在 TF 上面討論過，討論的結果是公開賽應該跑不掉。

If the roughly $50 million expansion at Crandon Park Tennis Center is
blocked, the tournament will have to explore moving to another US city or
even to the Middle East or the Far East, said IMG Tennis Executive Vice
President Adam Barrett.
假如這個擴建 Crandon Park 網球中心的計畫被阻止，則賽事將會尋找另一個可以舉辦
賽事的地方，而這有可能是另一個美國城市、也有可能去中東、甚至是遠東地區。
His remarks came after the Crandon Park Amendment Committee voted 3-1 last
week to delay a decision on the plan.
上週 Crandon Park 臨時委員會投票結果是 3-1 贊成延緩作出決定。
After the meeting, he said that without the expansion the Open probably would
pull out of Miami before its current lease with the county expires in 2023
because the tennis center is no longer suitable for a top-tier event.
目前雙方契約是簽到 2023 年，但是賽事主席認為邁阿密現在的場地不適合繼續舉辦高等
級的賽事，所以很有可能會在約滿之前就離去。
...但是約簽了不是你想走就能走，所以索尼公開賽未來幾年應該還是會待在邁阿密，畢竟
司法判決不是一朝一夕就會有答案。而這件事情跟「索尼」本身有沒有關係呢？應該是沒
有太大關係... 反而是跟 IMG 比較有關係。而索尼冠名消失的原因主要也跟場地沒有太大
關係，而是索尼業務不理想導致贊助降低。過去幾年索尼愛立信一直都支撐著整個 WTA 巡
迴賽，後來索尼留下的索尼公開賽也算是把索尼愛立信的約走完而已。
所以，只要 Crandon Park 最後的決定是擴建，邁阿密公開賽就會持續存在...
另外，小年終應該已經落戶珠海，對台灣球迷來說或許也不是一件壞事！

Sony Dropping Title Sponsorship Of Miami's ATP/WTA Event After Eight Years

Sony is out after eight years as the title sponsor of Miami's joint ATP/WTA
tournament, the third largest tennis event in the U.S. Tournament Senior
VP/Marketing & TV Wendy Elkin in an e-mail wrote, “Sony has opted out of
their title renewal but may still be connected with the Miami event.”
索尼雖然不再冠名續約，但依然有可能跟邁阿密賽事有密切的關係。
However, Elkin indicated the tournament, staged in March and owned by
William Morris Endeavor/IMG, is close to finding a new title sponsor. Sony
began its title sponsorship of the event in '07 while still branded as Sony
Ericsson and took over as sole title sponsor in '13. Meanwhile, Fila also is
out as official apparel and sneaker of the Miami event. A source close to
Fila said the tournament, now being called the Miami Open, was seeking to
triple its annual $300,000 fee for the category.
Elkin 告知 IMG 老闆已經差不多找到新的冠名贊助了。
索尼愛立信 2007 開始冠名此賽事然後於 2013 年被索尼取代單獨冠名。
Fila 是該賽事的服裝及球鞋的贊助商。而 Fila 表示邁阿密賽事還想要要求 Fila 提高
他們現在贊助的金額達三倍，而現在他們一年所支付已達三十萬。
